New Year's Day, Paris 2018
It took quite a few tries to get a satisfactory photo of myself in front of the Arc without traffic behind me. After taking this photo, I headed down a nearby stairwell with 2 of my sisters to meet a Facebook friend from France
in-person for the first time. I remember seeing one called "Memory Lane" in French. It was there underneath the Arc de Triomphe that we got to meet my friend Anthea for the first time, who has since become a favorite friend of mine, a friend for life. What a special day!

One of my best friends and I have spent a few nights away at the historic Hotel Galvez each July for two years in a row now. We are going to see if this becomes a cool tradition. It's expensive to stay, but it's more affordable if you split the room with someone else!

I'm a city chick at heart who loves different kinds of adventures from lying on the beach to hitting some light trails. I grew up climbing mountains with my father in Maryland. He taught me my appreciation for nature.
Now I live in the South and enjoy being surrounded by water all the time. But I've caught the travel bug and love to see the world when and where I can. It's in my genes! Even road trips count, as long as you're getting away to experience something new or make new memories.
