Madame Tussaud's, Hollywood, CA 2019

For my first-ever solo trip, I took myself out to LA for 5 days in August. I spent my first night in Hollywood where I visited the world-famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. I had so much fun, I wanted to go back the next day. Hands down, I would highly recommend this experience. The quality of the figures is so life-like, it's unnerving at first, but very impressive.

What's up, I'm Ashlee!

I'm a city girl in the bayou who loves music, traveling, & the planet!

I grew up in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area until I was a teenager. I've been in Southwest Louisiana ever since, the place where my family is from. My mom's mom loved traveling and was able to see the world into her 70s. Her favorite city was Paris, which might be where I get it.

I began studying French in middle school which continued through my first year of college. I took a break from French for nearly a decade when I left college, before returning at age 28 to earn a Bachelor of the Arts in Foreign Languages with a concentration in French and a minor in Latin. In that time, I've cultivated an intense appreciation for all things French - culture, food, history, music, and of course, the language.

Another huge part of my soul is ART and seeing the world through a different lens. I've been drawing on everything, including myself, since I was a child. In high school. I would decorate the tops of my hands and fingers every day using neon gel pens and colored markers. .
